This dance is became more famous grace the New-Zealand rugby team because before all matchs, players of this team, interpret the Haka to impress the adverse team! And I think that it make a success!

Video of the Haka by All Blacks here !

Lyrics ''Ka mate'':

Ringa Pakia (Slap the hands against the thighs)
Uma tiraha (Puff out the chest)
Turi whatia (Bend the knees)
Hope whai ake (Let the hips follow)
Waewae takahia kia kino (Stamp the feet as hard as you can)
Ka mate! Ka mate! (It is death! It is death!)
Ka Ora! Ka Ora! (It is life! It is life!)
Tenei te ta ngata puhuru huru (This is the hairy person)
Nana nei i tiki mai (Who caused the sun to shine)
Whakawhiti te ra (Keep abreast! Keep abreast!)
A Upane ka upane! (The rank! Hold fast!)
A upane kaupane whiti te ra! (Into the sun that shines!)

For the Maori, the tattoo (=Moko) has one signification sacred. It’s a very important stage in the life of a Maori: it’s a passage enter the childhood and the grown-up age.

The Moko is a drawing on all the face, on the buttocks or on the legs for Maori warriors.

My favorite team of Rugby...FRANCE!

xv_de_france

This is hymn of France team, like all teams of rugby, they sing this song before playing, ''LA MARSEILLAISE:

Allons enfants de la Patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé !
Contre nous de la tyrannie,
L'étendard sanglant est levé, (bis)
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats ?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes !

Tune :

Aux armes, citoyens
Formez vos bataillons
Marchons, marchons !
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons !

Here, you can see one video where the France team and the New-Zealand team sing before match (Moving, no? ). And after the hymn of New-Zealand... There is the haka! Very amazing !
